Game Mode: The Fighting Shades Team


In Super Smash Bros., players fought against the Fighting Polygon Team.

Then, in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Fighting Wire Frames appeared to fight against the players.

Following Melee, a new set of fighters appeared to trouble players. The Fighting Alloy Team make their appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Now, in Super Smash Bros. 4, the new menace to fight against the players is the Fighting Shades Team. This band of shadowy misfits will fight against the players with a assortment of attacks and techniques that attempt to harass players.

They resemble the Fighting Polygon Team the most since they imitate a wide assortment of characters however, there are only six of them.

Their appearance is uniformal – black, shadowy and wispy cloaks and hoods. However, each fighting shade has a individual colored mask that covers their faces and hides their identity!As well, they do not have similar move sets but take from other character move sets such as Mario or Link. Who are they behind that mask? It’s such a mystery!

Name: The Grinning Shade

Universe: Super Smash Bros.

Mask Color: Red

Fighting Style: Physical fighter

The Grinning Shade is a fighter of average height and build. It’s attacks do average amounts of damage and has no particular or unique fighting style. It is a well-rounded fighter that has normal all around stats. It’s shadowy cape is shredded and wispy at the end and it has a hood. On the side appears to be raven like wings that flap when it jumps up or down. It’s mask is red and has two medium sized black eyes and a large white grinning smile.

It’s move sets are randomized and take moves from the following characters: Mario, Fox, Shiek, Samus, and Isaac.


Name: The Floral Shade

Universe: Super Smash Bros.

Mask Color: Pink

Fighting Style: Graceful fighter.

The Floral Shade is a floaty and graceful fighter that utilizes powerful, magic-type attacks. While it lacks in strength, it has high speeds and defensive abilities. It has a shadowy cloak with a black-like kimono underneath. It wears a hood hat has five long wispy appendages that ends in smoke. It’s mask is pink and has white pen-like curving lines taht appears to look like branches. On the sides are white leaves.

It’s move sets are randomized and take moves from the following characters: Zelda, Saki, and Peach.


Name: The Blade Shade

Universe: Super Smash Bros.

Mask Color: Blue

Fighting Style: Sword Play

The Blade Shade is a strong and offensive fighter that utilizes a smoky sword that appears to be made from shadows It has a long, flowing cape and appears to have black knight armor that smokes around it. It has a long hood with shadowy spikes on it. The hood extends slightly over the mask. Its mask is blue and his black carvings into it that resembles a knights helmet.

It’s move sets are randomized and takes moves from the following characters: Link, Shulk, Nightmare, and Ike.


Name: The Quickening Shade

Mask Color: Green

Fighting Style: Quick and agile

The Quickening Shade is a very quick and agile fighter that relies on quick attacks that can be executed quickly. It’s entire fighting style is focused on quick attacks. It has a shorter cloak that seems to cling around the fighters body. Its arms and legs seem to have shadowy clothe tied around them. It has a tight fitting hood with no protrusions from it. Its mask is green and has a three black stripes that run horizontally across the mask.

Its move sets are randomized and takes moves from the following characters: Pikachu, Captain Olimar, and Dixie Kong.


Name: The Flying Shade

Universe: Super Smash Bros.

Mask Color: Purple

Fighting Style: Air based

The Flying Shade is a fighter that can jump more than once and seems to dominate aerial fights. It can glide with shadowy wings that sprout from its back. It has a long feathery shadowy cloak that seems to have a Greek-type style to it. On its back, it has two black, shadowy wings that end in smoke fringes. Its hood is of average length and seems to have two large angel wings that flow from behind it. Its mask color is purple and it has a birds face on it. A small purple beak, and two black eyes. It also has light purple lines that makes it look like an owl.

Its move sets are randomized and takes moves from the following characters: Pit and Kirby.


Name: The Brute Shade

Universe: Super Smash Bros.

Mask Color: Gray

Fighting Style: Brute Strength

The Brute Shade is a fighter that seems to focus on forcing the opponent down with brute strength. It has amazing strength stats and can take a lot of punishment from players. It has a long, billowing shadowy cape that extends outwards. The area around its shoulders seem large because of shoulder armor. It has black like shadowy armor underneath the cape. It has a large hood that seems fringed and shredded on the sides. Its mask color is gray and has an X in dark gray lines across the mask.

Its move sets are randomized and takes moves from the following characters: Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Yoshi.


Of course, the Fighting Shades imitate other characters but a lot of them have yet to be revealed so you just have to wait and see!
